Apart from lending the granola bars a crunch, walnuts are a great source of mono saturated fats and omega 3 fatty acids. They are specially beneficial in controlling cardiovascular disease and a regular intake of walnuts comes highly recommended.
Another highlight of this recipe is that incorporates the use of natural sweeteners like cranberries and dates which also lend these bars their soft chewy texture.
