Berry Pink Smoothie- A Valentine’s Day Special
For a perfect start to a special day!
Smoothies are a great way to start the day and more so if they are loaded with goodness, like this one. This power packed smoothie makes for a sustaining breakfast or a post-workout drink. Actually, it can also be enjoyed as ‘lunch on the go’ as well. Have it anytime you want to, but rest assured it’s great each and every time!
Gorgeous to look at and delicious in taste, this smoothie gets it vibrant pink color and sweetness from beets and red berries. Bananas and beets contain potassium which are great before or post work-out as they help with leg-cramps, a common occurrence with many amongst us. Rich in omega 3, vitamins A, C and E, iron, magnesium, fiber and antioxidants, a glass of this wonder smoothie is bound to keep you healthy and happy!
Get 7 ingredients together, blitz and you’ve made yourself a health bomb that’s sure to make any day special.
Very Berry Happy Valentine’s Day!

- 1/4 cup thinly sliced raw beet
- 1/2 – 1 banana
- 1 tbs flax seed
- 1 tbs almond butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 8 oz. unsweetened almond milk
Optional: 2 tbs hemp protein powder, a handful of washed kale with stems removed, 1/2 tsp coconut oil, unsweetened toasted coconut for topping
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend in high for 30 seconds, or until well-incorporated. If it’s too thick, add more almond milk or some water. Pour into a tall glass and enjoy!
